I may have found someone that will, some day, get as annoyed with me and my picture taking as my own kids. My nephew. But that’s ok, I am going to keep snapping away. It’s ok for a number of reasons. It’s ok because it’s important to have documented images of fun times, events, holiday, etc. It’s ok because sometimes a photographer just can’t help keeping the camera tucked away when a cute face is around and it’s especially ok when mom, dad, family, future wife want to sit down and look at a timeline like this one. My husband and I do it often with our two boys and it never fails, we end up sitting for a BIG chunk of time reminiscing on those times past. It is just so much fun. And so amazing to watch the transformation that has happened in such a short amount of time. Sounds cliche doesn’t it?
I think it’s so special to have these little treasures to have and to pass on.
I’ve actually never blogged on this sweet boy. My brother, sister in law and nephew live North of Seattle so I don’t get to bug him with the camera as much as I’d like. But when we’re together, the camera is likely there. Putting this progression together (just a few of my favorites of him) had me sitting here doing the same thing I do with my own kids’ photos: smile, shake head in disbelief that he has grown so much and repeat.
This is a wonderful example of why having family photos and/or photos of your kids taken REGULARLY is so important. Just look at the changes! All in just 15 months. Never again will he change as quickly as he has thus far.
